Dětský dům is a notable modernist retail and office building on Na Příkopě Street. It was constructed in the second half of the 1920s to a design by architect Ludvík Kysela and was converted into a department store in 1950, giving the property its present name. The building underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in the late 1990s. Its characteristic façade combines extensive glazed surfaces with a prominent ground-floor frontage.
